Preliminary Task
When we first planned the task, we drew some storyboards of a basis on what our idea was going to be. It was very basic, somebody walking through a door then walking down some corridors for about 5 or 6 seconds. He would sit down and have a conversation with somebody about something.
We updated this idea with the conversation being about somebody pointing out that the person they are talking to hasn't got there lanyard with them.
Through the filming progress, which changed a few ideas and updated some more.
In the end, our Preliminary task was a person walking through a door, down a corridor, down some stairs, he then walks through the study area, and then enters a classroom and sits down. The conversation starts about coursework deadlines and issues that are in the news, and finally about the person not having there lanyard.
I didn't use the camera much as I was the person being filmed, but I did know how to use a video camera as I gave ideas of what shots to have such as an overhead shot, over the shoulder shot and close ups.
I am very confident with using editing programmes as I have used many before and as we used Adobe Premiere for this task, I had used this also.
Editing the footage was very basic as it was just shortening down bits of video and taking off bits that were unnecessary such as shots that were too long.
I used some of these skills by changing the contrast slightly, and changing the lighting quite a bit as it was quite dull when we filmed this.
Jamil could you please embed your short film onto your blog without delay together with a response to the three set questions.
ReplyDeleteIt would be useful to have any planning notes on your blog.
ReplyDeleteA splendid short film which excellently meets the Exam Board's criteria whilst also focusing on a topical theme and the lanyard experience.
Your response to the 3 questions is rather too vague and not specific enough. We'll discuss in class.
